So glad to see my besties getting hitched one by one. .. especially looking at their wedding photos. Don't they just BEAM with happiness?? Although they will complain that the Sun is really really glaring, their lips are numb from the smiling but it's the happiness that is bursting from their hearts that they can't contain.

I couldn't make it for his church wedding last year but made a something memorable for him. He has been really kind as a friend that could touch people's hearts by lending that listening ear and helpful hand. So, I did what I was best at - "Scrapping"!! :)

It's December and time for reflection on the lessons learnt and thanksgiving to the amazing opportunities you have received. Not forgetting, the favourite season of the year... Christmas! Have a Good Weekend

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Mine started earlier than normal and I am loving the long weekends. I'm bundling up and meeting my best girlfriend to embark on a exploration to Singapore Cafeterias. Sipping on a hot tea with nice brunch or desserts with a book sounds pretty exciting to me!

Wedding Projects

What have you been up to for this the period where I haven't blogged?
Things has changed a lot for me during the past few months and I am still adapting to the changes!

Christmas is just a month away, what are you planning to buy for Christmas gifts or exchange? It can be quite nerve wrecking to think of pressies for your BFFS and GFFs. Thanks to the recent business trip to Taiwan, i made all my purchases there and that saves me all the trouble to source for gifts in SG~
Probably cards and gift tags is a good and cost saving idea to share the warmth around!

For this post, I have 2 wedding layout to share where my primary school friend got hitched in August.
The photos are perfect....she showing full bliss from the long run of 12 years with her beau and still counting!
What a beautiful bride and moment to remember!

Happy New Year, my darlings! I can't believe it's already 2011, can you? I hope everyone has a wonderful, wonderful year in store, full of unexpected surprises and delights.

It's been a full year of suprises and challenges. My 2010 was nicely wrapped up with a series of good laughters and singing sessions! For my dear friends who finally tied the knot last year, my heartfelt blessings for you! Many apologies for not being able to attend.

Nevertheless, for my creations, a farewell gift came just in line to join the wrap up for 2010.
A nice guy that I got to know through my Company. He was the acclaimed youngest and most handsome Area Manager (let the picture speaks for itself.. I shan't comment).
Well, glad that he has gotten a great job in a career that he likes and hope that he would be able to reach greater heights there!

Thank you again for a wonderful year! I'm so grateful that you're here. Very much looking forward to a fun 2011 together.

Here's what I have for the 3 major farewell projects done in October 2010!
As the chinese saying goes "There's no banquet in the world that doesn't ends" The gift was done for my former colleague a.ka. comrade and my former boss.

The other, was my very close colleague cum mentor which I have known for years. A very amicable, kind and soft spoken lady. After spending 10++ years with the company, she finally set her foot down to leave.

A pity to see her leave for her hometown and probably not coming back again. A farewell "hug hug" event was organised specially for her at the former office. Looking through the photos, we could see that everyone was trying to hold back their waterfall of tears.

The Candle Cage

Hey peeps. Thanks for popping by! I've just finished watching a spectacular National Day Celebration!

8 August 2010 seems like a auspicious day where a lot of celebrations were ongoing. One of it was my friend's store official opening. It was truly a mad rush as the invitation was only given on Tuesday! After much deliberation, I dropped the idea of giving her a flower bouquet as a gift as it seemed to common and expensive.

Ultimately, with some brainstorming, my friends and I scouted IKEA and Daiso for supplies and inspiration. Damage? 19 Bucks for a candle cage and 2 bucks each for the raw wood box and signage.

Look at my proud results below. Over a night, I managed to finish all these with a lil help from my friend!

My New Works

My sweets, how was your long weekend?

It's Singapore's 45th birthday today! 9 August 2010. For those who don't know much about Singapore, we celebrated our first birthday in 1966, one year after Singapore's independence from Malaysia on 9 August 1965 with our first president Mr Yusof Bin Ishak (yes.. If you notice.. you are seeing him everyday on our currency) and our first Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

The great thing about this year's celebration is that.. it's finally back to Padang! There's no place like Padang with the Old Supreme Court Buildingg as a backdrop that can bring back the good strong national day celebration back to us. Of course how can I forget to mention that my favourite singer - Corrinne May composed and performed the Theme Song for Singapore's National Day 2010, titled "Song For Singapore". Come to think of it, I really missed those times in school where we'll practice singing for National Day~

Now, I would love to share with you that the canvas that I've made for Miss P.
For our long standing friendship of 11 years, I made a canvas specially for Miss P. Probably next year it would be my assignment to create a wedding album! Time really flies and I am so happy for her! This was a real quick 3 hour project though I had a little designers block for a while.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to snap a quick photo for the other 2 canvas which was also presented to my 2 dear buddies for their birthday in April. That.. was a major one.

When You Feel Like You Don't Measure Up

I've realised, being part of this incredible community of creative people, you're bound to find inspiration at every turn and people that you come to admire. But there are inevitably times when you might start to make you feel like you don't quite measure up with all these incredible people around you.

My view? I think it's only natural to feel that way.

There is definately moments when you feel like you can't handle what's on your plate as it is and then you find someone with a full platter of food, piled all on top of each other, and somehow, they seem to be able to eat it all and still have room for dessert?

There's always someone smarter, faster and more talented in some way with their hands stirring way more pots than you are ever going to be able to stir and maybe even do it better.
It can be quite depressing if you keep holding on to that bugger at the back of your mind but you can't it it detour you from the path which you have chosen for yourself.

The simplest reason that I can think of is - There is bound to be someone out there looking up at you and say "Wow, how did she do it?"

Always remember that you are just as amazing as all those people you admire. Every individual is unique and you possess your own talents, creativity and priorities tha determines how you share those talents with the people around you. It's not your responsibility to match what anyone else is doing on any given day, it's your responsibility to do for you.

The only person you truly have to measure up to is yourself. If you are feeling too bogged down with thoughts of all that you can't accomplish, perhaps you've set the bar a little too high. Don't expect so much from yourself all the time! Do some reflection and realize how much you have achieved already.

Do not belittle yourself. . for you have so much talent and drive to be discovered through your life.

I've been really busy on my new job till the point that I haven't been scrapping for 2 months straight. Yes, this explains why I haven't been updating this blog for a long long time. Working from 8.30am to 11pm straight. I must be mad if I am still blogging here.

It seems like my mind and body mechanism is tuned to work, work and work. Suddenly, I've became the sole breadwinner of the family and the only solution is to stay optimistic. Ultimately, I'm in the midst of the battle and there's no way to snap out of it. But I believe. . I will emerge from the fire. Cuz. . I'm fire fighting everyday and I managed to survive~

Actually, right before April's fool, 2 canvas projects were completed for my friends' birthday. Comments? Seriously, mad rush. the smaller one took 1.5 days to complete and the other.. from 9pm till 4am. (My lecturer taught me - Use your fingers to count. Don't be shy.) Glad it turned out up to standard and feed backs were "Thumbs up" for both!

Well, I hope I've made their birthday a memorable one! It was great to catch up with them now and then and see how their life have been progressing. Buddy, I'm looking forward to your BIG day in December. She's such a nice girl. Congrats~

I was reading on my favourite author's blog and stumbled upon this post. Found this particular paragraph so dear and so true. . for my parents in this case. Reading her posts often or rather always gives me another angle in life which I can look upon. That's where to me..in a way understand people more.

I was surfing the internet days earlier and spotted this clip on creativity. The speaker, Sir Ken Robinson is a internationally renowned speaker on innovation and human resources. His presentations carries a very lively atmosphere and you will start nodding your head through the whole 15 minute presentation on this clip.

After watching the clip, I seriously can't agree more. It is SO true that education systems arond the world are structured in the way just to pull you through University studies. For those who does not get into local universities would try all means to get into a private one. Worse comes to worse, study abroad of financial means permits. Now, with the influx of foreign talents,high standard of living and bigger demand for better education. . a normal degree is insufficient. With so many U-grads out there, what is going to happen to the diploma holders? Further education now seems never ending.

Friends who were going through university threw me a question. "What's going to happen after having that degree? Where's the ending point?" Surprisingly, I did pose that question to my cousin who has obtained his Masters years back when I was still in my teens. His reply? "Study till the point that you think it's enough. It's killing too much brain cells."

Now, I just need to concentrate on finishing my ACCA and complete the 6000 word essay to get my Honors degree in oxford. Time taken? My target - 2 Years. In between, nothing is going to deter my determination in attaining the 2 goals that I'm gonna achieve.

To be in a design team and canvas project

You can't imagine how honoured I am to be invited to Jean Art Doll's design team. I've been sick for the whole week and lost like 4 kgs straight! Again into the hospital and out. Not whining. . . just don't like to be kept under observation with that tube sticking out of my hand.

They used 2 IV drip bags within 2 hours! Anyway, I suppose my colleagues will be staring at me when I return to work next Monday. During this time, I took the chance to check my Gmail where I found the invitation from Heather Getson (lovely lady. . and so friendly!) to join JAD as a design team member. Do support them by posting your works there too! The link is in my favourites list!

I've done a canvas project for my friend and I'm planning to use it as a challenge for JAD in February. Only 3 short hours were used to churn this out! Amazingly fast I thought.

Yipee! I just managed to finish cropping and editing the photos which was taken via my HTC Diamond 2. The shots were quite alright and I'm quite pleased!

For this calendar, I've added quotes in every month to inspire you while staring in the calendar everyday! This is the 1st calendar which I've made and lots of details were added in. . mists, flowers, accents, embelishments, colours . . etc. And when it comes to binding. . . certain embellisments were blocking.. -_-"

November to December is a heck one man show! From brainstorming -> purchasing -> crafting -> packaging -> photography -> delivery -> posting online. It certainly takes a while to get through the final stop here. So please bear with me.

Though I'm enjoying the fun, I getting tired. Right after my exams, I rushed all Xmas orders, 3 calendars, 4 clipboards, 2 Xmas cards. Gosh, it was a whole chunk of madness rushing down.

Afternoon everyone! How was your weekend?? I had mine in a super busy and packed one. . running about in SG. . running through my list of errands that I need to do! But well, not too bad though, I managed to get a new hair cut and now it feels so breezy. . (I know I know. . it sounds like some shampoo CF). :P

My morning was staringly bright and chirpy. . because I saw my works being featured again at Made With Love! This time round, another 2 scrappers were also featured on LOTW #57. Their Christmas cards were fun and interesting too! Congratulations to both of them. I certainly can feel the sparkle of joy when your works get acknowledged!

Baby Amelia

Made this for my colleague whose wife just gave birth to a baby girl last month. We visited her and amazingly, she has plently of hair!! She weighs about 3 pounds and looks cute! Babies are all cute aren't they?

Unfortunately, I can't post the pictures of the baby girl as the sensitive dad is veerry particular. But, wait! I still have pictures to share! It's the baby shower card that I made for the happy family.

November Cards

Sorry guys, I've been busy rushing out orders that I don't even have time to prepare for my exams. . not even to talk about meeting the friends that keeps calling me out now and then. My accomplishment for the month includes. . a baby shower card, 3 birthday cards and 1 general purpose card which I did for my friend as a gift. This time round I'm gonna share a recipe for one of the birthday card order which I have done last month! Enjoy!

1. Remember the day and the moments.

The thing that I love about this part is the completeness and the blending of the cover and the back of the card. The misting just softens the whole layout. Really. . a tailor made card for girls.

2. The Meaning of Birthdays.

This card flew all the way to Switzerland! Thanks to you know who u are! I sincerely hope that your gf love this gift from you!

3. Smile. It's your Birthday!
I'm gonna share with you the scrapalicious recipe for one that looks like the pictures below!

On The Cardstock
Step 1: Choose 2 patterned paper and cut out the size which you want and punch one of the long edge with Doily Lace Edge Punch from Martha Stewards.
Step 2: Ink the white cardstock with Thatched Yellow colour form Versa Magic
Step 3: Ink the edges with Doily lace punch out (I used a vintage pink and a pastel green for each of the papers)
Step 4: Place the pattern papers diagonally with the lace edge facing in and overlap one over the other.
Step 5: For the excess edges, wrap around the inner side of the card and glue down. For the cover, only glue down the sides. Leave the inner part alone as it acts as a pocket.
Step 6: Cut out craft shape and embelish with Thickers, Prima Blings and Flowers.

Pocket Message - Yellow Cardstock
Step 1: With a colour you deem suitable. . cut out a smaller cardstock (that is able to fit into the pocket)
Step 2: Stamp with Flourish stamps, pictures with Shadow Ink
Step 3: Stamp the message with your favourite colours and do an emphasis of words by using a different colour.
Step 4: Go over the stamped images with Glossy accent and allow it to dry. (To speed up the process. . you can put it infront of a fan :P )
Step 5: Spray the cardstock with Gold Glimmer Mist
Step 6: Cut out butterfly images (I used Making Memories pattern paper) and adhere pearls to create the body of the butterfly. Glue 1 butterfly flatdown to the cardstock and the other only the middle is glued to create a 3D effect.

Lastly, put the pocket message into the main card and voila! The card is done!

Piradee added …… *With Christmas not too far away, this card from colista really inspired me to get out my Christmas stash and start working on all those christmas cards and tags. I just love the composition of all the elements, the use of the glossy accents on the roof tiles and also the adorable mice with their presents. Super cute!!!*

Alright. I'm tired. Let the pictures do the talking. . .

1st card was made for my boss birthday and the latter was made for my manager. All were September babies!

The wordings says "This is your life. It is your one time, as you experience all the good things. - Maya Angelou"

I agree with my hands and feets up in the air. Experience and breathe in all the essence of all good things and forget all the bad ones. As corny as it is, the good always conquers the bad. Stay positive! :)

Missing in Action Considered Done

It's been 2 months since my last post here! Many apologies for the delayed updates!
Well, there's plentiful of reasons for my Missing In Action (MIA) from my last post.

Firstly, I had an eventful September where I received warm and blessed wishes, parties, presents, dinners from my dear friends. It felt real great to meet up with people that I haven't seen for a long long time and also surprised that they still remembered my birthday!

Secondly, the norm of my life, busy with work. Meeting deadlines. Getting constant round about instructions. Sarcastic remarks from XXXXXX. Sabotages. Well, this is just part and parcel of life which I will need to learn how to manage and turn the situations into a positive outcome.

Reading books have also becomed part of my life. The number of books that are queuing in line for me to read are starting to PILE. There were 2 new collections from the Taiwanese author 吳淡如 (Her blog can be found here - http://blog.sina.com.cn/wudanrublog). Yeah, no doubt, i fed my bookcase well with lotsa scrapbooking books and one of it was Martha Stewarts encyclopaedia. The long awaited Mitch albom book "Have a Little Faith" was also released in the market and that was one of my "MUST GRABS". >_<

Orders came charging towards me and I am SOOOO up to my neck! The card below was ordered by friend's cousin. When I saw her smiling from ear to ear, that moment became part of my accomplishment.

In the earlier week, an order was received from my buddy to design a birthday card for his friend. The preferred colour was pink and black. Hence, the card is in pink and the envelope is in black colour. Intricute detailing was done in this project. The interior of the card is shown in the sneak peek below.

New Style In Action

A new creation was born on a wee morning on August 9 and shortly after, the creation was handed over to one of my girlfriend. It was her belated birthday present.

The main challenge of this layout is to create a different feel of what I've done in my previous works and to craft it in a way that would let her eyes get mesmerised with it everyday.

Well, she was totally amazed at the project and everyone on the road was staring at the clear plastic bag that she was holding. :P

Forgot to mention.. the effort to craft this excrucitaing piece of work has been paid off! This layout was chosen as "Layout of the Day" at Creating My Keepsake forum. Follow the link here -

Shipping/Delivery Information

- Local postage charge will be waived for orders up to $10.00.

a) Singapore Orders
: Flat rate charge of $2.50.
: For transactions up to $50.00 in a single confirmed order, registered mail postage is waived.

b) Overseas Orders: We send international orders USPS First Class International (under 4 lbs) or Priority Mail (over 4 lbs). Actual freight will be calculated and a shipping invoice will be sent to you.

3. Meet-Ups
